iMovie-The Dark Side
I have already completed my movie on Argentina using iMovie and my class presented them last Wednesday. They were supposed to be presented on Tuesday, but I needed more time to work on mine and our long class on Tuesday was valuable time for me to be able to finish. Bridger did a movie on the nordies roller skiing and Erik did a movie on his friend skateboarding. They were both really good and I liked watching them! I really enjoyed the project and thought it was fun to explore with iMovie and watch how different everybody’s movies were. In my opinion though, there are some dark sides to iMovie. I thought that iMovie was very frustrating because we were using the new version and we couldn’t find a way to slow down or speed up the video clips, as older versions could. Besides that, iMovie was pretty good and was somewhat easy to use. Another thing that was annoying in the process of finishing the project was trying to post in on my blog, flickr or twiddeo. They all said that the video was too large and that it wasn’t in the right format. Also, when I exported the movie in “tiny”, it still didn’t want to post, even though it was small enough to post. I’m going to keep trying, so keep checking in to see! I have digital media class again tomorrow so I will see if I can finally post the movie because I want you to see it! All in all, I think iMovie was great, although apparently the old version was so many times better and I wish there was a way to slow down and speed up the clips. So, if anybody knows how to do that on the new version of iMovie, I would like to know!
